WEST ALABAMA RESCUE
Animal Rescue, Protection & Advocacy
Our animal welfare organization is dedicated to caring for and promoting the rights of animals through numerous initiatives. Our main goal is to educate and improve the lives of animals, through rescue, aiding owners so they may keep their animals through hard times, and advocating for an end to unjust Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) bans. We take reports of hoarding, puppy mills, neglect and abuse and investigate those and work where needed with local law enforcement agencies to make sure those who break the law while abusing animals are brought to justice.

REHABILITATION
When necessary we will hold animals so that they recieve the help they need. Medical, socializing, or temperament, we work with the animals and our vet to insure the best possible outcome for each animal.
INVESTIGATION
We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts, which is by no means an easy feat. But through cooperation and community involvement, and working with law enforcement we believe we can facilitate progress in the battle against neglect, abuse, hoarding, puppy mills, and bad breeders.
ADVOCACY
We advocate for the best interest of animals. Everything from legislation enforcing protection laws for animals to opposing unjust laws like Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). We educate on and support implementing the spay and neuter of all dogs and cats, and work to help find programs and aide for lower income pet owners.
